Well, we’ve done it again……

We have produced another crop of talented, skilled graduates, and 89% of them are employed or furthering their education within six months of graduation.

And here are few more factoids about our December 2010 and May 2011 graduates:

  • 97% of our graduates live and work in Wisconsin, primarily in the Milwaukee area;
  • the average annual wage for associate degree graduates is $34,272;
  • the average annual wage for technical diploma graduates is $30,403.

MATC graduates are in high-demand because they provide essential services that are necessary for our regional economy: first response, manufacturing, business, IT, health care, medical technology of all kinds, supply chain management, water quality, paralegal, welding, accounting, electrical power distribution.  I could go on, but I think you get my not-very-subtle point.  Our graduates work in nearly every industry sector and play vital (and many times under-appreciated) roles in almost every aspect of our daily lives.

I often say my students earn J.O.B. degrees.  They also embark on careers that will have a lasting impact on their lives while they also make our lives safer, healthier, and easier.

I invite you to read more in the 2011 Graduate Career Report, which includes detailed data for each of our associate degree and technical diploma programs.  The report can be accessed at http://matc.edu/documents/Grad_Report.pdf.
